Dr Francis Jojo Moses Kodzo Damalie is a Lecturer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, a Course Lecturer for Assisted Reproductive Technologies in MPhil., Reproductive Biology, Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology (TAB), KNUST and an Assistant to The Chair of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI)- Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is the Course Coordinator of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMS - KNUST, for the School's Physician Assistantship Program. He is also a Senior Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) – Kumasi.
Dr Damalie holds Fellowships of The West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), The Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (FGCS), and The International College of Surgeons, as well as a Postgraduate Master Degree in Reproductive Medicine (MRMed) with a Sub-Specialization in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) from the prestigious University of New South Wales, Australia. He is also a Clinical Fellow of Rotunda: The Centre for Human Reproduction, Mumbai – India, a pioneering training institution in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
Dr Damalie has an insatiate taste for validated cutting-edge knowledge and demonstrable skills in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is one of the most experienced in the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility field in Ghana. He comes around with a solid work ethic, trustworthy character, selfless dedication, humility and utmost respect. He is self-motivated and has a passionate zeal to impart knowledge in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He was a pivotal contributor to the curriculum and is a Faculty for the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Programme of the Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. As a Faculty, he teaches, supervises the theses of the Fellows at different levels of their training and examines at the College.
Dr Damalie is devoted to reducing morbidity, specifically infertility, abortion complications and maternal death in Ghana. He is a co-president of Volta Health Network Plus (VHN+), a registered non-profit, non-governmental voluntary organization of health professionals in Ghana and abroad, who are committed to providing specialist health care by organizing annual multi-specialist health outreach services to underserved parts of the Volta and other parts of Ghana. He has facilitated in the area of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for continuous orofessional development (CPD) programs under the auspices of the Ghana Medical Association, The Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Fertility Society of Ghana and CPDunlimited Academy, an online academic platform that offers tailored CPD programmes for health owrkers with busy working schedules.
