Profile
I am a fellow of Ghana and West African College of Surgeons, senior specialist obstetrician gynaecologist, with gynaecologic oncology as my subspecialty. I have a decade experience as a practicing obstetrician gynaecologist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. I have performed or assisted in over 500 retroperitoneal dissection/surgeries, which are cardinal in the management of early ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancers.
Alongside, I lectured at KNUST from 2018 to 2020 on adjunct and senior adjunct status. I have considerable experience in teaching: residents in obstetrics and gynaecology, Ghana, and West African College of Surgeons; teaching and examining medical and nursing students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery teaching School.
I have authored pioneering papers in gynaecological cancer in Ghana and published several such articles on gynaecological cancers in peer-reviewed journals. My research areas include quest to enhance treatment outcomes in advanced gynaecological cancers, and labour induction in low-resource settings.
I am goal-oriented, with a great sense of humour, a strong personality, and a team player with excellent leadership qualities.
