Profile

Am Dr. Dorcas Nuertey, a full-time lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, specifically in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems, KNUST School of Business. I am also the Postgraduate Programmes Coordinator for my Department.  I hold a PhD degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a B. A. (Hons.) in Publishing Studies (majoring in Publishing Administration). All three degrees were obtained from KNUST. My key areas of teaching are Strategic Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Research Methods, Logistics and Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Planning and Control Systems for Supply Chain, Forest Business Planning and Appraisal, Entrepreneurship Management, Principles of Management, etc., and I lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My key research areas include Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Green Supply Chain, Supply Chain Responsiveness, Supply Chain Security and Institutional Legitimacy, Cross-Border Trade & Institutional Voids. I have published in journals such as The International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, Researchjournali’s Journal of Management and Journal of Rural Studies. Am currently a research member on a USAID sponsored project on “Examining the Prospects and Challenges in the Financing of the Agricultural Supply Chain in Ghana: The Maize Perspective” and my on-going research areas for publication include Supplier-buyer relationship, Supply Chain Digitalization, Supplier Integration and Last-mile Distribution.
