- 2022 PI Religious Diversity and Modes of Coexistence across Urban Africa I won the Merian Sibylla Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA). MIASA is the only institute of advanced African studies in sub-Saharan Africa sited at the University of Ghana and funded by the German Federal Government through the German Federal Ministry of Education. - 2022-2025 PI Joint Research Project “Islam and Popular Culture and Public Performance Practices: The Production, Transmission of Knowledge, and Creation of Cultural Identities in Africa” awarded by African Multiple Cluster of Excellence - the University of Bayreuth, Germany, under the theme “AFRICA MULTIPLE: RECONFIGURING AFRICAN STUDIES.” The project is hosted in Africa by Moi University Excellence Centre, Kenya.
