Alice Gyasi-Mensah is an Assistant Research Fellow with the Center for Cultural Studies and African Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She also lectures at the History and Political Studies  department. As a researcher she is she is focused on research activities related to qualitative methodologies. She is innovative and compassionate about research in the humanities, particularly migration studies. Alice Gyasi-Mensah has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (Major) and Sociology (Minor) from the University of Ghana; Master of Philosophy in Migration Studies and at the completion stages of a PhD in Migration Studies as well. 

Alice Gyasi- Mensah also has a rich experience financial engineering and resource mobilisation for development across continents. This led her to specialize increasingly to develop and manage complex multi-cultural projects. She has experience in: strategic forward-planning; operating within the tight financial disciplines imposed by ambitious budgets which she have helped to plan; methodical administration to deadlines and the application of modern leadership methods (through staff motivation and involvement in both decision-making and target-setting, clarity in communication, and easy personal interrelations). As a consultant with the above mentioned qualities, she has travelled across continents on market surveys and has acquired a rich experience of African market systems, giving birth to several financial models. 

Alice Gyasi- Mensah also has a rich community service experience with African traditional political systems and also with local governmental units in Ghana.
