Achievements

I set up the virus research laboratory (VRLAB) and performed the first ever virus culture and Western Blot assay in KNUST 2016 (Narkwa et al., Infectious Agents and Cancer (2017) 12:17).
I graduated two of my PhD students at the same time (2016), four years after their first registration as graduate students in KNUST.
I have so far contributed approximately $500, 000 (USD) worth of resources to support teaching and learning in KNUST since 2012 through national and international collaborations.
I have supervised the thesis of at least 12 Masters degree students since 2012.
I am the coordinator of the KNC19 Project that is currently testing the efficacy of a Ghanaian herbal preparation against Covid-19 in Kumasi.
I am a member of the committee that advised government on the establishment of the proposed vaccine development programme.
