Patrick Williams Narkwa is a lecturer in Virology, Immunology and Molecular Techniques at the Department of Clinical Microbiology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana. Patrick's research focuses on the 'interaction between aflatoxin B1 and hepatitis B virus: effects on type I interferon signalling pathway". Patrick received his PhD in Clinical Microbiology from KNUST where he worked on understanding the role of aflatoxin B1 in modulating the type I interferon response. Prior to being appointed as a lecturer, Patrick was a Leverhulme Royal Society Africa Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Clinical Microbiology.
