Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe holds a Ph.D. in Communication, Culture and Media Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Master of Arts Degree in Communication & Media Studies from the University of Education, Winneba, a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree from the Cape Coast University and a Certificate in Education from Cape Coast University.

Daniel Norris Bekoe is an academic with over 23 years of teaching experience at various levels; Basic, Secondary, Polytechnic, and the University. He is also a PR practitioner and has consulted for a number of organizations in Ghana. He is currently the Deputy Registrar in charge of University Relations at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has extensive knowledge in PR planning, Media Relations, and Crisis Communication.

Prior to this role, he was the Public Relations Officer for Takoradi Polytechnic from 2013-2014; Director for Quality Assurance of the Pentecost University College, Accra Ghana from 2016 to 2019.  In addition to teaching, Daniel is a regular panelist on a number of radio stations where he shares his views on politics, democracy, and the development of Ghana and Africa as a whole. His hobbies include; cooking, reading, traveling, and sightseeing. 

Daniel’s areas of research include; Public Relations, Media and Development, Development Communication, and Broadcast Journalism. His current research focuses on, the “Contributions of Media to Agricultural Development and Poverty Reduction in Ghana”.

He is a Presbyterian and has one lovely daughter called Lina.
