Mr. Emmanuel Dankwah, popularly known as "Stunna", is a researcher and filmmaker, poised to bridge creative practice with critical theory by focusing on gender representation, African media cultures and Film and Video. Stunna's work examines how filmmakers address ethical issues in documentary filmmaking, particularly where power imbalances, cultural sensitivities, and historical legacies influence relationships with film subjects. He explores how filmmakers navigate consent, privacy, and portrayals of vulnerable communities in the Ghanaian context in the absence of formalised guidelines.
In 2025, he earned a certificate from the Design Thinking in Afrika Programme at the University of Cape Town’s Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking, strengthening his commitment to ethical innovation through human-centred approaches.
