     Donald Amrago studied Ceramic Art, Industrial Management and Human Resource Management at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and the University of Cape Coast, in Ghana respectively. After learning to use his hands in Ceramic forming techniques, he developed the basic knowledge in hands-on-training capabilities. The joy and satisfaction gained, ignited and sustained the current skills and abilities to conduct needs assessments for training packages in innovative capacity building required by students and clients. As a researcher, he also teaches Clay forming techniques in undergraduate classes and as an expert trainer, with a proven track record, Mr. Amrago could identify talents, skills and innovative strategies, some of which lead to designing sustainable Biomass stoves and furnaces for domestic and small and medium scale enterprises for processing post-harvest loses in the agricultural sector as a way of fixing climate change and the health of women and children. 

    Donald Amrago has spent the last 18 years learning almost everything about employable skills development within the formal and informal industrial/artisanal sectors. He currently applies this knowledge in a positive way as one of the Industrial Attachment Officers in the College, for undergraduate engineering students.

   The qualities of Donald Amrago, as a very creative and quick thinker enables him perform his training and coaching tasks with extreme imaginative mindset. He has the natural ability to perceive what others might miss. His ability to connect the abstract with tangible but educative ways to solve problems in sustainable technology transfer to the deprived and needy communities is a novelty, and it drives his passion to do more.

   As a natural counsellor, Donald Amrago has the capacity to mentor students to identify and transform their talents into employable skills as required in the labour market.

   The interest and hobbies of Donald Amrago are, organizational skills, events planning, providing solutions to identified community challenges and travelling. On-going research are the innovative impact on hands-on-trainings among tertiary students Capacity building for literate and semi-literate youth in professional skills for employment in the labour market. The design and construction of efficient Biomass stoves and the reduction of Indoor-Air-Pollution from  inefficient  stoves.
