Ms. Senita Osei Badu is an Assistant Registrar, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Publishing Studies (Administration option) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Ms. Badu has a diploma in Customer Service and in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK. She is a member of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana (PIN: 2K20-240)
She started her professional career at KNUST in 2012 as a Senior Administrative Assistant where she assisted the Assistant Registrar (HR) in preparing of training needs of staff in the University. She also assisted in serving the Conferences and Scholarship Committees and organising of orientation for newly appointed staff. She was appointed to the rank of an Assistant Registrar and subsequently posted to the General Administration from April 2016 to July 2016. She provided assistance to the Deputy Registrar in the management and administration of the Unit. Ms Badu supervised subordinate staff in the Unit and served as a Secretary to the Committee for Cooperation and Understanding between KNUST and the Surrounding Villages (NANANOM), the Senior Staff Club Management Committee, Estate Management Committee, Board of Survey, KNUST amongst others. From August 2016 to November 2020, she was the Assistant Registrar in the Faculty of Built Environment, College of Art and Built Environment, KNUST. Her responsibilities included serving as Secretary to statutory and non-statutory committees in the faculty. She provided general assistance to the Dean in the management and administration of the faculty. She also liaised with Faculty Examination Officer to facilitate and provide logistics for the conduct of examinations. She was also responsible for handling welfare matters, provision of support and advisory services to students and staff in the faculty. Currently, Ms Badu is the Assistant Registrar at the Quality Assurance and Planning Unit (QAPU) where she performs duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor/Registrar or Head of Unit. She monitors and evaluates student outcomes through feedbacks to facilitate and enhance teaching and learning performance. She coordinates with the University Relations Office to publish the Basic Statistics and Quality Assurance Bulletin and ensures systematic monitoring and reviewing of the academic management courses, teaching and performance. Ms Badu is responsible for coordinating accreditation/re-accreditation of academic programmes and assisting in Institutional auditing.
Ms Badu is a result-oriented individual, hardworking, independent, kind as well as an enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in establishing Consultancy Services in Human Resource Management. She is receptive to innovative ideas, embraces challenges and willingness to learn and adapt to change. To her, the satisfying part of her work and personal life is serving and touching the lives of people in reaching their goals. She is married to Mr. Isaac Yeboah with (3) children.
