Miss Grace Birago Asenso is a Senior Administrative Assistant at the Vice-Chancellor’s office in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She has rich experience in postgraduate administration in the KNUST which stretches over twelve (12) years. She holds an MPhil in Business Administration (MIS), BA Industrial Art and is currently an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Relations - Ghana.
Prior to her transfer to the Vice-Chancellor's office in 2021, she provided administrative and managerial assistance at the School of Graduate Studies, the Postgraduate (PhD) Secretariat at the KNUST School of Business (KSB) and the Department of Teacher Education, and the 5 Colleges of Education under the Faculty of Educational Studies, KNUST, as a point of contact to both faculty and students who sought professional advice or support from the admission to graduation stages, and everything in between.
As a result of Miss Asenso’s keen interest in technology and office automation which enables her to work through difficult tasks to obtain workable results, she served as:
* Member - Kuapa Kooko Co-operative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited (KKFU) staff performance appraisal committee in 2019
* Panel Member - Sankofa Project with the KKFU and its Corporate Affairs Managers, Millennium Promise Alliance in 2020, which saw to the successful update of the staff information system, staff assessment and further recruitments.
* Rapporteur - KNUST's 9th Summer School themed ‘SDGs and Universities: Actions Towards KNUST’s Mandate at 70 and Beyond’ - August 2021
Her ability to multitask, adapt to changing inter-cultural environments, maximize and produce budgets, considering strict time constraints, without compromising quality of work makes her outstanding at every task given. Thus, as a staff of the Department of Teacher Education, she also rendered top-standard services at regular conference markings, subject-based workshops and professional development manual workshops organized by the Faculty of Educational Studies to prepare tutors in the five Colleges of Education affiliated to the KNUST on the new Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) curriculum.
Miss Asenso is highly passionate about detail-oriented results, has strong research interest in technology and hopes to further advance herself in Technology Entrepreneurship and Office Automation to further impact decision making. Most importantly, she stands for integrity, honesty, dependability and loyalty among other strong Christian values and shows deep commitments towards her assignments and to all her colleagues and superiors.
