I am a Faculty at the Department of Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine and Dentistry, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. My research interest focuses on Disease pathogenesis, Host-pathogen interactions, diagnostics, and immune mechanisms of infectious diseases such as Malaria, Diabetes, TB/BU, HIV/HBV, Vaccines, and other non-communicable diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis. I teach, train and supervise, undergraduate and postgraduates in these thematic areas. I served as Departmental Exams Officer (August 2015-Date) and a Coordinator for the Postgraduate Programs (2013-2018). I am a Member of the Council of Convocation-KNUST (2019-2021), a Fellow, and a Council Member of the University Hall. I served on several committees within the University, national and International Community.

I also serve as an External Assessor and moderator for UG, UCC, UDS, KTU, and KTU. I am also a Reviewer for several journals in the field of immunology and clinical biochemistry notably: Tuberculosis (Elsevier), Scientific African Journal, Cancer Control SAGE Publishing, PLOS One, Dove press: Journal of Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity, Journal of target and therapy, Springer Nature. Dr. Sakyi is an Editorial board member SciFed Journal of Obstetrics and Women Healthcare

I am a member of Professional bodies including the Convention of Biomedical Research Ghana (CoBReG), Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS), Immunological Society of Ghana, Ghana Association of Biomedical Laboratory Scientist, and American Association of Clinical Chemistry.

I have successfully supervised 10 PhDs, 25 MPhil, and 120 BSc Students/Theses with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals,
