By profession, Prof. Oswald Kafui Seneadza is a Legal Academic, a Consultant, and a Freelance Journalist. He has the academic title of Associate Professor in Public Law, with 17 years of teaching & research experience, and is currently the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Department of Public Law at KNUST, Kumasi. He is the Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (REC– KNUST).
In addition, Prof. is a Member of Education, Capacity Development & Research Committee of the Institute of Directors (IOD-Gh), a representative on the Academic Board and Appoint. & Promotions Committee of Mountcrest Univ. College. Prof. Seneadza attended Bishop Herman College (for his 'O' Level) and Tamale Secondary School (for his 'A' Level Educ.), after which he obtained a Diploma Certificate in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, (GIJ) in Accra, Ghana.
He holds LLB, LL.M (with Distinction), and Ph.D. Degrees from Universities in Ukraine, Germany, and Ghana. He has Expertise in Public International Law, Administrative Law, Environmental Law, and Jurisprudence. He is the Lead Facilitator for all Law Courses run by the Institute of Distance Learning, (IDL) in Ghana & Nigeria.
He serves as, a Moderator and External Assessor for several Universities in Ghana & other African Countries. He is a Reviewer for institutions including Commonwealth Law Bulletin, CSIR, and School of Graduate Studies.
He served on the Global Theological Seminary Council (GTS) and the Academic and College Boards of KNUST. He also serves as Coordinator in training staff on Quality Assurance Strategies in KNUST and other Universities. He was an Adjunct Lecturer at GIMPA, UCOMS, UPSA, CIAMC, and GTUC (of Coventry University, UK). He served as Honorary Judge between 2008 and 2014 in the “All African International Human Rights Moot Courts held in Ghana, South Africa (Pretoria & Cape Town), Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, and the Benin Republic.
He is a Fellow of Professional Bodies: Moritzbastei of Leipzig University; the African International Lawyers Association (AILA); Charted Institute of Administrators & Management Consultants, Ghana (CIAMC-Gh).
His academic activities resulted in a total of 54 Publications comprising: Books, Articles, and Study Guides. He has extensive knowledge of English Common Law, Continental Civil Law, and African Union Law.
Apart from the local languages of Ewe and Twi, he has proficiency in English, Russian and German languages. He is a Ghanaian citizen married to Vivian Nyante Seneadza with three children: Julia, Jude, and Jessica.
