I am Dr William Addison, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive care. I had my university education in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where I obtained BSc in Human Biology and MBChB. After graduation from the medical school in 1996, I worked at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) as a House Officer and Medical Officer in the following disciplines: Surgery, Medicine, Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I then did residency in Anaesthesia and Intensive care at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital, Accra. I also worked for a year as a ‘visiting Doctor’ at the University of Ulm/RKU, Germany. I have fellowship with the West African college of Surgeons and also Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. I was employed as a lecturer in the department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in November, 2010 where I have been working till now. I currently teach Anaesthesiology and intensive care in the following programmes: MBChB, BSc General Nursing, BSc Midwifery, BSc Physician Assistantship, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I am also a consultant Anaesthesiologist in Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where I provide specialist Anaesthesiology and Critical Care services and also train specialist in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. I am also a WHO consultant in management of COVID-19
