As a Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Scientist, my research interests and expertise span the human-environment interface, focusing on the following:

• Assessment of soil trace gas flux from natural and adapted land-uses;
• Carbon accounting, modelling and REDD+;
• Monitoring of land use/land cover dynamics, inventory and mapping of vegetation cover and health;
• Mapping spatial variability of soil nutrients and contaminants and land suitability analysis;
• Sustainable land management for crop yield and carbon sequestration;
• Restoration and amelioration of degraded forests and landscapes;
• Environmental pollution, toxicity and remediation, and ecological risk assessment;
• Soil and water quality monitoring (trace elements);
• Sustainable mining and quarrying, reclamation and mine closure;
• Biodiversity conservation and advancement of land degradation neutrality;
• Renewable and bioenergy resources utilisation
