My research interests include:

1.Restoration of degraded landscapes and Forest soil management 

2. Urban biodiversity, stand structural dynamics and ecosystem services (e.g. Climate mitigation and adaption)

3. Phytoremediation of mine spoils and other contaminated environments

4. Plant functional/trait diversity in divergent landscapes

5. Forest tree response to future climate changes (i.e. droughts, flooded conditions, CO2 acclimation and extreme temperatures)
