Dr A. Kwame Kwaw joined the Department of Geological Engineering, KNUST in 2023. Kwame holds a PhD degree in Geological Resource and Geological Engineering from Hohai University, Nanjing, China, with a specialisation in solute and bacteria transport in porous media. Kwame also holds an MSc degree in Mineral Exploration Geoscience from Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute (PAULESI), University of Ibadan, Ibadan, NIgeria, and a BSc degree in Geological Engineering from KNUST.

Kwame's research interests include fluid flow and solute transport in porous and fractured media; sources, fate and transport of contaminants in aqueous environments; pore fluid characterisation; mineral exploration.

Kwame can deliver high-quality, practical results through local and international collaborative research projects.
