John-Paul Safunu Banchani currently works as a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana, Department of History and Political Studies. He joined the faculty of KNUST in September 2020 and has been involved in research, teaching and mentoring of students at all levels. John-Paul conducts research on theories of International Institutions, Decision-making processes in International Organizations, Africa in global politics, the African Union, theories of International Relations, International and European politics and the nexus between security and Development. His most recent publications appear in the African Security Review and the University of Bamberg Press.
