Profile
Dr Albert Kwame Kwaw works in the Department of Geological Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. Albert holds a BSc degree in Geological Engineering from KNUST, an MSc degree in Mineral Exploration Geoscience from Pan African University Life and Earth Science Institute (PAULESI) and University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, and a PhD degree in Geological Resource and Geological Engineering from Hohai University, Nanjing, China. Albert's PhD research focused on the use of physical and mathematical models coupled with nuclear magnetic resonance to study bacteria transport and non-Fickian (anomalous) solute transport behaviour in clay-containing porous media.
Albert's research interests include solute transport in porous and fractured media; source, fate and transport of contaminants in aqueous environments; quantitative characterisation of pore fluids using nuclear magnetic resonance technology; mineral exploration.
Albert can deliver high-quality, practical results through collaborative research projects.
