Research Areas/Interests
I have passion for the elucidation of the route of transmission of various bacterial pathogens to help provide guideline for their control. The current level of antimicrobial resistance is alarming among both clinical and environmental (including animals) associated strains. I also participate in research aiming at understanding the molecular mechanisms of such antimicrobial resistance. Emerging bacterial pathogens such as Arcobacter and Aeromonas are of importance to me.
I am also interested in salmonella research and other foodborne pathogens. In general, all bacterial investigation aiming at the One-Health is of interest to me.
