I'm Dr Issahalq Duah Mohammed(MD) . I obtained my first degree in Medicine (MD) in 1994 at the Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir - Turkey. I earned a post graduate degree in Project Design and Management from the The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Ghana) in 2007.
I received fellowship training through the years 2001 and 2007in in General Otolaryngology (ORL) from the West African College of Surgeons.
My area expertise include General medical practice, management of ear, nose, throat and head and neck diseases, and Hearing Health Conservation and Rehabilitation.
I worked as a specialist ENT Surgeon at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after my fellowship training until late 2010 when I joined the Department of EENT of the School of Medical Sciences - KNUST as a lecturer.
I have since the year 2003 served on various committees in the hospital including Drugs and Therapeutic committee (DTC), Entity Tender Committee (ETC) etc. I was a founding member of the KATH based Head and Neck Oncology Clinic (Tumor Board) and was the only coordinator of same throughout its formative years.
I am a member of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), Ghana Medical Association (GMA) and Ghana Medical and Dental Council (MDC) and in good standing
Research interest in the areas of:
-Abuse of home made medications in ENT practice and their impacts.
-Hearing (Health) conservation and rehabilitation.
-Clinical audit systems and their implementation.
