Profile

Nat is a Research and Data Management Specialist with exploits in natural resources management with speciality in evironmental governance [NREG]. He currently works with the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development [BIRD], Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology [KNUST], Kumasi. Nathaniel holds a Master of Philosophy (Mphil.) degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance (NREG) and a BSc in Forest Resources Technology, all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Nat keeenly supports both research and teaching acativities at BIRD. He posseses the ability to develop programme content and track progress. He has very keen research focus on institutional and legal (regulatory) frameworks on environmental sectors such as mining, forestry, etc.,; environmental sustainability; livelihood improvement. Nat. is versatile with providing and facilitating training for workshop, seminar, and conference participants; training field research team(personnel); digital research data management, statistical data analysis, etc.,. He has close to a decade experience of research activities with BIRD. My main areas of interest include: Research and Data Management; Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Development, Livelihood Improvement, Environmental Law and Policy, Stakeholder Engagement, Environmental Governance and Communication. Nat is currently supporting research projects on plastic waste management, and agricultural health and safety in Ghana.

Nat is a member of the Senior Staff Association of Ghana (KNUST-Chapter), International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF), Grosvenor Lane, Bethesda, MD, USA, International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF), Ghana Chapter. He has an appreciable experience in the conduct of socio-economic baseline, mid-term and endline surveys and impact evaluation
