Profile

Dr. Prince Junior Asilevi is a Lecturer and Research Scientist in Atmospheric and Environmental Physics/ Chemistry at the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science, KNUST, Ghana. He holds a BSc in Physics and an MPhil in Meteorology and Climate Science, both from KNUST, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering (Sanitation and Waste Management). His work focuses on emissions/ air pollution science and control leveraging field, laboratory, and satellite remote sensing measurements.

With several publications in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) journals, Prince has made significant contributions to cloud-radiation interaction modeling, air quality improvement using atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma technology, air pollution meteorology and prediction, and climate science. He was recently appointed visiting scientist at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) in Edinburgh and the EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facility on Climate Monitoring (CM SAF) with the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD), Offenbach, Germany.

Prince previously served as Project Manager for the World Bank Africa Center of Excellence with the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi (RWESCK) at the Department of Civil Engineering, KNUST.
