Profile

Gibridu Oppong is a Junior Assistant Registrar with more than 11 years of experience in university administration. He was appointed Senior Administrative Assistant in 2011 and had his first promotion on January 2017. Until recently, he was the Secretary to the Registrar of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), KNUST. Currently, Mr. Oppong is working with the Affiliations Office as Assistant Affiliations Officer. 

He has served multi-national and local entities such as:

  1. Office Manager for USAID/West Africa Analytical Support Services and Evaluations for Sustainable Systems in Agriculture, Environment, And Trade (Assess). The ASSESS project is being implemented by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in partnership with the University of Rhode Island (URI), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and other partner Universities in the US and West Africa. The project provides programme evaluations and research, monitoring, knowledge and information management (including learning events), and other support services to USAID/WA/REGO.
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist/Consultant for Josma Agro Industries Limited for AGRA/USAID Funded Projects since 2011.
  3. Submitted and successfully won business proposals behalf for private firms from Ministry of Trade and Industry(MoTI) – 1D1F, Stimulus Package for Business; GASSIP
  4. Administrative Specialist for the project on  "Assessment, Analysis, and  Development of Tools to Strengthen the Use of Evidence in Policies and Legislation in Africa" (TSUE) of the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and  Technology (KNUST), Ghana, in partnership with The University of Rhode Island (URI) and United  States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The project is funded by the USAID/Africa Bureau. TSUE’s objectives include: (1) understand the current state of evidence used in African parliaments; (2) identify gaps and opportunities that exist; and (3) understand the internal (within Parliaments) and external (outside of Parliaments) oversight and  accountability structures

He is a visionary, challenge-driven, resourceful professional in academic and community arenas.
