Mrs. Jemima Abena Tei has been a Principal Administrative Assistant at the School of Graduate Studies, KNUST since June 2017. Prior to this, Mrs. Tei was posted to the Examinations Office of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as a National Service Personnel from November 2005 to November 2006 after her studies at the now Takoradi Technical University where she studied HND Secretaryship and Management Studies. Due to her exemplary dedication and resourcefulness, she was called back to the University to work at the KNUST School of Business as a Temporary Senior Administrative Assistant before she gained permanent employment in June 2011, where she served as a point of contact to both the School and students. She also served as Secretary to the School of Business Strategic Plan Committee before her transfer.
Mrs. Tei is a former student of the Teshie Estate Preparatory School (TEPS), Aburi Girls’ Secondary School, the now Takoradi Technical University and an alumnus of the Central University College and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She holds HND in Secretaryship and Management Studies, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies and a Master of Business Administration degree (Human Resource Management) from the KNUST School of Business.
She was posted as a Senior Administrative Assistant to the Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology during which she served as Secretary to the Departmental Board Meetings, Thesis Presentation Seminar and Secretary to the Committee that investigated the Theft of Computers in the Department of Physics. Currently at the School of Graduate Studies, where she is a Principal Administrative Assistant, not only does she assist her senior colleagues in coordinating the activities of postgraduate students from admissions to graduation, she also serves as a Recorder on the School’s Board, Management meeting and the Committee to Develop Strategic Plan for the School.
Mrs. Jemima Abena Tei over the years in the service of the University has distinguished herself in the supervisory roles and training of some subordinates and National Service Personnel some of whom have gained temporary and permanent employment in the University and other institutions.
Mrs. Tei is not only astute and straightforward but also reliable, respectful, responsible, dedicated, hardworking, loyal and result oriented often times looking out for the wellbeing of those she works with. She is a Christian.
