Abubakari is a Systems Analyst at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST); and a key member of the University Information Technology Services (UITS) which provides IT services to the University. Currently, he is the head of IT for the College of Science; and is in charge of all administrative and technical ICT issues at the College.

He holds Master of Science in Advanced ICT from the Osei Tutu II Institute for Advanced ICT affiliated to KNUST; and a Degree in Computer Science, also, from the KNUST in 2005. During his National Service period in 2006, he was one of the three-man team put together by the then Provost of the College, Prof. Aboagye Menyeh, to apply for a TALIF (Teaching And Learning Innovative Fund) fund to computerize the College of Science Staff and Students database.

This project was a big success not only to the College but also to some other colleges in the University. Furthermore, the success story of the project facilitated his employments as an Assistant Systems Analyst in the university in 2007.Since then, Abubakari worked hard to promote the core business of the university. He is calm and humble; and relates very well with his colleagues and superiors..
