Emmanuel Boakye is an experienced IT professional and Senior ICT Assistant at the University Information Technology Services (UITS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, with extensive experience in network infrastructure management, systems administration, enterprise IT support, technology implementation, and digital infrastructure development. His expertise spans the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of IT systems, including structured cabling, LAN/Wi-Fi networks, CCTV surveillance, access control systems, video conferencing solutions, and integrated enterprise applications.

He has contributed to numerous institutional infrastructure development and renovation projects across KNUST, supporting network redesign, technical supervision, infrastructure planning, cost estimation, system commissioning, and end-user training. His professional experience also includes hospitality technology implementation, with involvement in hotel reservation systems, Sage 300 accounting software, wireless network optimisation, CCTV systems, and security screening technologies. Beyond his technical responsibilities, he serves as Project Coordinator of the KNUST–TUM SEED Centre, coordinating local project activities and international collaborations focused on sustainable energy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and development.

Academically, Emmanuel holds a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology at KNUST. He has complemented his academic training with professional development in digital product development, information security auditing, information security best practices, business incubation management, and entrepreneurship. His research interests include secure and privacy-preserving computing, federated learning, machine learning, and the application of emerging technologies to practical organisational challenges.

He combines strong technical problem-solving skills with project coordination, infrastructure planning, stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. His professional goal is to contribute to secure, scalable, and sustainable digital infrastructure, technology innovation, and digital transformation within higher education and other industry sectors.
