Research Areas/Interests

My primary area of research interest lies in host-pathogen interactions, particularly focusing on infectious diseases. I am deeply intrigued by the dynamic and complex interplay between microbial pathogens and the host's immune system, which ultimately determines the outcome of infection.

Understanding how pathogens invade, evade, and manipulate the host's defences is at the core of my research passion. I am particularly drawn to unravelling the molecular mechanisms that underlie these interactions, with the goal of developing novel strategies for combating infectious diseases.

My research journey has also led me to explore the broader field of immunology, where I aim to decipher the intricacies of the immune response in various disease contexts. This includes studying immune cell heterogeneity, cytokine signalling, and the factors that contribute to the development of protective immunity or immune-mediated pathologies.

Additionally, I am deeply interested in the genetic and environmental factors that influence disease susceptibility and progression. This extends to investigating how genetic variations in both the host and pathogens can impact disease outcomes.

Overall, my research interests encompass a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular biology, immunology, and epidemiology. I am driven by the prospect of translating my findings into practical interventions that can improve public health and contribute to our understanding of the intricacy between hosts and pathogens.
