Michael Agyemang Obeng is a clinical research scientist at Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR), a department under Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. As a result of his excellent research skills in conducting high-quality research, he has been involved in a number of clinical trials in Onchocerciasis and Lymphatic filariasis. He has also done a number of research works in hepatitis B viral infection.
Michael has keen interest in viral hepatitis. He has worked consistently in this area since 2017 with rich experience in education and relevant research in hepatitis B viral infection. He has consistently advocated for mass vaccination of people as the surest way of preventing the hepatitis B viral infection and seeks to work in line with WHO’s goal in bringing to the barest minimum the prevalence of the infection by 2030.
