Mrs. Benita Kwarteng Amanin is a Junior Assistant Registrar at the Registrar’s Office currently attached to the Examinations Office, Academic Affairs Division.  She joined the University in 2002 as a Junior Staff, Clerk Grade II, and by dint of hardwork, rose through the ranks to become an Administrative Assistant within 4 years.  As an Administrative Assistant she assisted with students’ theses defence, transcript preparation, and students registration at the School of Graduate Studies.  She was transferred to College of Architecture and Planning (CAP), now College of Art and Built Environment (CABE) as the Provost Secretary in 2011.  1n 2017, she was again transferred to the Faculty of Agriculture as Secretary to the Dean.  Benita served as the Acting Secretary to the Faculty of Agriculture Welfare Scheme.  She also represented CABE on FUSSAG from 2012 to 2016.  Before joining KNUST, Benita was a secretary to Shalom Security Company where she negotiated for clients’ fees, scheduled staff duties, managed inventory, and staff emoluments.  Between the years 1990 and 1998, Mrs. Kwarteng Amanin worked as a pupil teacher in a private school where she had the experience of interacting with, and managing all manner of persons.  

Mrs. Kwarteng Amanin holds Masters degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management from KNUST, a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Valley View University, Private Secretary Certificate from NACVET, and a Language Diploma from Alliance Française de Kumasi.  She attended Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Secondary School from 1980 to 1985.

Benita is married with 3 children.  She is God fearing, people person, humorous, selfless, a good communicator, and dedicated to her administrative duties at the work place and in church.  She is a team player, works with little or no supervision and possess leadership skills. She is a devoted Seventh-day Adventist chorister, and the only female family head at Bantama SDA Church.
