Profile

Kofi Adu is a Senior Assistant Registrar in the Academic Affairs Division (Examinations) with more than 15 years’ experience in Tertiary Education Management. Born on 26th December, 1971, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Resources Development from the University of Ghana and a Master of Science in Development Policy and Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. In 2014, he won an African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF)/World Bank Scholarship to pursue a One Year Master’s Programme in Public Sector Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. He has worked in a variety of capacities in the University; from General Administration through Faculty, College to Accra Office (first, as Representative of the University/Manager of the Guesthouse and later as Coordinator of the University’s Distance Learning). He returned to the Main Campus in 2012 as the Publications Officer in the University Relations Office. He is the Chairman of the Registrar’s Offices Welfare Fund, member of the Ghana Association of University Administrators and a member of the KNUST Council of Convocation (2020-2022). He has mentored and supervised student thesis and currently working on three publications/journal papers. He is an External Verifier for the National Board for Professional and Technical Examinations (NABPTEX)
