She holds a Master of Science degree in Regional Development Planning and Management from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, and Universidad Austral de Chile, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
She joined KNUST in 2015 as a Project Administrator under the DANIDA-funded Building Stronger Universities (BSU) Programme and transitioned to the Office of Grants and Research in 2020 as a Grants and Research Manager. Prior to joining KNUST, she worked with international development organisations, including the Millennium Cities Initiative, where she served as Social Sector Associate for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
Since joining KNUST, Mrs. Eyison has played a key role in strengthening the University's research management ecosystem. She has contributed to the development of research and grants-related policies, grants management standard operating procedures, institutional guidelines, and capacity-building programmes for researchers and research support staff. She was instrumental in developing the proposal that led to the establishment of the Intellectual Property Unit under the Office of Grants and Research, and the appointment of KNUST’s first Intellectual Property Administrator. As one of the pioneer Grants and Research Managers at KNUST, she has made significant contributions to strengthening research support structures and advancing institutional and international collaborations, including South-South and North-South partnerships.
Mrs. Eyison currently serves as Grants and Research Manager for the College of Science and coordinates training and capacity-building programmes at the Office of Grants and Research. Her responsibilities span the entire grants management cycle, including funding opportunity identification, proposal development, budget preparation, institutional approvals, award review and negotiation, compliance monitoring, donor reporting, post-award administration, and project close-out. Over the years, she has managed and supported donor-funded projects from agencies and development partners, including the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the European Union, DANIDA, DAAD, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Wellcome Trust. In 2025, she secured two capacity-building grants from the Carnegie Corporation of New York through IREX to strengthen research management systems and professional development at KNUST. These initiatives have enhanced the skills and competencies of project managers, research administrators, accountants, and principal investigators at KNUST and other institutions.
In addition to her grants management responsibilities, she has coordinated scientific conferences, professional development workshops, and research capacity-building programmes. She has served on several high-level committees and produced technical reports that informed important management decisions across the university.
