- Assessing and Enhancing the resilience of the Cocoa and Tef Value chains in Ghana and Ethiopia
(2016 to Date). On-going in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH-Zurich). Adopting the value chain approach, we are assessing the resilience of value chain actors to two key shocks: Drought and excessive rainfall
- IITA/CRI Collaborative Research Project: Sustainable plant management and rural financial services for smallholder cocoa farmers’ livelihoods enhancement: Connecting farmers with societal actors in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Team Leader for Work packages 4 & 5. - (2015-2016)
- WP4: Assessed approaches to formal and informal financing products, services in cocoa land-use systems and analyzed, constraints, opportunities and farmer mindsets
- WP5: Models and strategies for successful agricultural financial services provision to smallholder farmers in a West African cocoa farming landscape
