Dr. Samuel Dodoo is a lecturer at the Department of Physics, College of Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He is a managing member of the Center for Business Development (CBD), KNUST as well as the Kumasi Business Incubator (KBI). He was a lecturer and a research scientist at the Stranski Laboratory for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Technical University Berlin, Germany from 2006 to 2011. Before then, he had worked as a research associate at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Berlin and also at University of Leipzip, Germany. Samuel is a polymer scientist by training but has passion for entrepreneurship development. He has mentored and trained many KNUST graduates having business ideas resulting into a number of start-ups.
Educational Background: Samuel was awarded Ph.D. in Natural Science by the Technical University Berlin on 14th November 2011. His master degree in Polymer Science was jointly awarded by the Humbolt University Berlin, Free University Berlin, Technical University Berlin and the Potsdam University on 21st July 2006. He obtained his B.Sc. Physics degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Samuel also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, from the KNUST Business School.
Professional Associations: Dr. Dodoo is a member of the German Physical Society (DPG), Physical Society of Berlin, Ghana Science Association, African Materials Research Society (MRS-Africa). He is the coordinator for the German Alumni Network KNUST, and a DAAD Alumni.
Social Interest: He is a believer of Jesus Christ and a Sunday School Teacher. He engages children and youth in Christian activities including camping and excursions.
