FISH SALES/MARKETING AND RECORD KEEPING

After scaling, the fishes are group per size and placed in containers with ice flakes for sale. Where customers pre-order, the fish are Packed and tagged with customer’s names and fish is placed in ice-chest with ice to maintain freshness. The sales person gives the packed fish to customers and records the payment in a sales book. Customers that are unable to collect their fish from the farm, come to the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources for the fish. All activities at the farm, seining and harvesting, gutting, cleaning and sales are undertaken by students as part of their practical training and skills acquisition.
