Profile

Seli was born in a small town in the Volta region of Ghana called Vane-Avatime on the 1st of September 1980 to Torgbui Amanu IV (Alias Rapheal Kwodzo Asense -Late) and Mrs. Mary Afi Asense. Seli however comes from Kpando also in the volta region since that is his father's hometown.

He started his kindergaten education in the Evangelical Presbytarian school and continued at the Roman Catholic primary school -i.e. from class one to two. In 1989, his farther who was then working with the Ghana Highway Authority was transfered from Accra to Kumasi. Their relocation to Kumasi made him continue his primary education in the then Pentecost Experimental school now known as Pentecost Junior High School.

He finished his JHS education in 1996 and entered Opoku Ware Senior High in 1997 to read the science programme. He passed out with good grades and gained admission into the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to pursue BS.c Computer Science. This discipline he read from 2001 to 2004. He had his national service role perfectly played in the office of the Provost - College of Science, during which time he together with the then registrar Mr. A.K. Boateng, Mr. Robert Kabutey - then a national service personel, Mr. Abubakari Yahaya -then a national service personel and the Provost in the person of Prof. Aboagye Menyeh applied for a TALIF (Teaching And Learning Innovative Fund) fund to computerize the College of Science Staff and Students database. This project he worked on seriously as a Systems Analyst and Programmer and it gained him his employment in 2007. He has since worked in the university to date as a key member of the University Information Technoly Services (UITS).
